This toolkit captures the Project’s core program model, featuring implementation guidance, facilitator guides, and materials for five interactive sessions. The Project’s free curriculum and resources are presented in an editable format to support adaptation to varying learning contexts and needs.
Rooted in the literature on deliberative dialogue, democratic experimentalism, collaborative problem-solving, and design thinking, the Project’s curriculum supports diverse, youth-led teams as they tackle the Blueprint Challenge, a collaborative project to:
Identify, define, and generate solutions to shared problems in modern schooling;
Evaluate divergent perspectives on the history and futures of American education systems;
Engage in democratic dialogue to co-design their dream school of the future alongside peers and adult mentors;
Solicit feedback and refine their models to ensure they meet the needs of their communities; and
Build action plans to translate dreams to reality in their communities, today.
